About This

• Made from wild Greek truffles that we harvest by hand (and paw!) using our own team of trained dogs in the mountain forests of northern Greece.
• The truffle varieties are white winter truffles (Tuber mangatum Pico) and white spring truffles (Tuber borchii), which many consider to be the best varieties of truffle in the world.
• Our oil is 100% Greek extra virgin olive oil produced under cold extraction from hand-harvest Koroneiki olives grown in our groves in the mountains of northern Greece.
• Our family-run company, Dryas Truffle, was founded in 2008. Dryas is the nymph of oak forests according to Greek legend. We find all of our truffles in the oak forests of northern Greece.
• Greece has some of the best truffles in the world, though as a nation we have only been harvesting truffles since 2006 when Dollie, Greece’s first truffle dog, was trained. The truffle was well known to the Ancient Greeks, who believed them to mark the spot that one of Zeus's thunderbolts hit the ground.
